Trinity Flight Controller PC Interface/Software Update

Trinity's PC inteface includes the latest software update. By downloading this PC interface you will be able to uninstall past software on your PC, load the latest software to your Trinity, save, share, and store Trinity helicopter set-up files.

Updating Trinity Software:

  1. Download TrinityGUIInstaller
  2. Unzip the downloaded file
  3. Run the Installer Program prompts -> a desktop shortcut will be added
  4. Plug in the Trinity USB and power the gyro. After initialized, open the Trinity GUI
  5. If connected a % ring will display and success is indicated by a green connection icon top right of the GUI. Trinity's current Software Version and Serial Number will display below the connection icon in the window. Note the SW version before and after loading the latest version.

*** BEFORE LOADING THE SOFTWARE ENSURE THE MOTOR IS DISCONNECTED OR NOT POWERED DURING THE UPDATE

*** DO NOT UNPLUG OR POWER CYCLE TRINITY UNLESS DIRECTED DURING UPDATING; UNPROMPTED POWER CYCLES COULD RESULT IN UNSUCCESSFUL SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

6. To load new firmware, click the load button and follow the prompts on the status bar. If updating firmware on an already setup helicopter, choose YES to saving parameters. If you want to start from defaults, choose NO -> If NO all defaults and setup will be reset.

7. After the status bar is completed and the GUI notifies you Trinity is ready for use, cafefully check your set-up to ensure all controls are working properly. If starting  with defaults, you can proceed to follow the setup wizard in the Base Settings Controller App.

Saving and Loading Set-up Files:

  1. To save a set of parameters to a file on your PC whcich can be used to share with other flyers or for duplicate chassis click the SAVE button on the GUI main screen. Name and select a location to same the file.
  2. To Load a set-up file, click LOAD and a list of parameters will appear allowing you to choose which parameters to load into Trinity. By default, the GUI will try to load all parameters, however if you are sharing a setup file with a fellow flyer who may not have identical settings for level swash, total throws, throttle or Collective curves, etc. it is useful to uncheck the parameters which you don't want to load. Only parameters that are different from the current loaded file in the Trinity will show during this load screen.

*** WHEN SHARING FILES IT IS SUGGESTED TO UNCHECK THROTTLE PARAMETERS UNLESS THE SETUPS ARE MATCHED AND THE INTENTION IS TO COPY THE ENTIRE SETUP ROUTINE TO THE NEXT TRINITY/CHASSIS SETUP.
